Elite Screens **Q: Does anyone have any experience stretching the screen on to the frame in the cold?** A: Yes, it's a pain. The trick I have used is to set up the screen while the sun is shining. Let the sun shine on the back of the screen that's black, and it'll get warm enough to snap on, at least in chilly temperatures (I haven't tried this in freezing weather). I have also snapped on the top row only, then lifted the entire assembly up before snapping on the rest (using a step ladder after the sun shines on the back). Lastly, you can try letting it warm up in the house and move fast once outside. Any way you slice it, it's a pain (literally, sore fingers). There has to be a better way than the way it's designed. Mine ripped at a snap, but Elite Screens replace it since it was still under warranty. I never use the corner straps since they will tear off. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Customer Service *by on Reviewed in the United States July 19, 2020* I purchased this screen (front and rear projection wraith veil) and used it once, and it was great. I put it back into the sleeve/case it came with. Then a few weeks later I pulled it out to use it again. The sleeve/case is black on the inside and it had stained/rubbed off on the screen (side note, the set-up and storage instructions for this product are not very clear. I highly recommend you keep some of the foam packaging and wrap the screen in it when putting it in the sleeve to prevent this from happening to your screen). We tried several items to clean it and scrub it off, and it would not come off. So we reached out to Elite Screens, and I have to say I was not expecting much based on the reviews of their customer service that I had read online. However, they surprised me came through! I provided them with a picture of the damaged screen, and my order information, and later that week I had a replacement screen. Very quick and easy, no hassle! We used it the same night we received it and it was great! I'm very pleased with how they handled my particular situation.As for the screen, I much prefer the rear projection (keeps the projector, cords, etc out of the way of my small children and others) and this one (wraith veil) works fantastic for that! Great quality and a lot of fun for outdoor movies. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Quality *by on Reviewed in the United States June 10, 2020* I was most amazed with how easy this screen was to set up and take down. The first time out of the box I had it up within about 10 minutes with my wife only needing to assist for a minute or two when we stood it up and staked it in. The frame is lightweight, yet quite sturdy, and all it took was unfolding the frame and the locking mechanisms engaged very easily. The screen fit perfectly, leaving a taut, smooth surface to project on.I'd originally planned to get a front projection screen, but am glad I bought the Dual, as rear projection works well in our back yard. While the 0.8 gain (matched with my 3500 lumens projector) requires us to hold off until sunset to get things started, the picture was bright and clear, and I like the versatility provided by the option of projecting from the front or rear.Breakdown (the next morning, since our movie ran until 10:30pm) was just as easy as setup. And everything packed away nicely in the included bag.Everything was so easy and such high quality that we are hosting neighborhood movie nights throughout the summer to take advantage of this great product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ well built portable front / review screen but creases are a bit detracting *by on Reviewed in the United States January 2, 2021* Update after 6+ months of use. The screen and frame are holding up well after many uses. I usually leave the screen on the frame and store it in the garage. I found the creases are less pronounced if I reverse the a screen (project onto the front and watch on the back side). One annoying thing that happened is that after storing for a few days in the provided bag, some black stains appeared on the screen in the creases. Presumably some dye from the case wore of into the screen. It's not possible to remove the black marks.------------------------------Very much like this portable 120" dual view screen but its not perfect.Frame is well built. Snaps keep screen taut but do require some muscle to secure. Screen looks great for rear or front projection.There will be some chemical odor on the initial setup, recommend letting it air out especially if your are sensitive to such odors. But it does fade after a few days.On the subject of the creases. Having had the screen on the frame for two weeks and used a hair dryer cautiously over that time to try and reduce the creases, things have improved but there are still visible creases.. The worst being down the center of the screen. This is most visible when setting directly in-front of the screen. Its harder to see if looking from a modest angle.I'm not sure if the method they use to fold the screens is too aggressive or if the folded screens are put away "hot".
