It not only put the face shield so far away from the helmet that light came through the edges but it also is too easy to go up and I feared it would pop up during riding and be a hazard. I use it without the hinge piece just buttoned directly onto my 3/4 helmet. I bought a clear one for nighttime riding. **Q: Fits on a Speed and Strenght open helmet?** A: I have a multitude of helmets here. I have yet to find one that this won't fit. The snap positions are flexible. I've heard that there are a few small non DOT helmets that have a tighter "curve". The solution is to apply a blow dryer to the top of the shield that fits to the helmet & it will be more pliable. **Q: How easy is it to remove the shield from the bracket? My biltwell shield needs a prybar to unsnap from my helmet making a quick swap near impossible.** A: Really easy. It is harder to put it in. But it does resist on the helmet **Q: Is there anyway to tighten the flip up adapter?? I can out my head to down fuel up without it slamming shut. Defeats the purpose of even having it...** A: I'm sorry but I don't know. My adapter stays up on its own. I would go old school on it and give one of the grommets a dent. so that it doesn't swivel correctly. But that could ruin it.
