Don't do it. You are thinking the same thing I thought - great price and good looking. My favorite guitar came crashing down and a huge gash at the bottom. They don't close evenly and are total garbage. Spend the extra money if you care about your guitars. I wish I never bought these. Total junk. There's a reason they're so cheap.

I bought this for my Ukulele, while it would work great for my guitars, the Uke isn't heavy enough to engage the safety. It works fine to keep the Uke out of the way. Probably would have given it a higher star rating, but received with a scratch across the base and it looks like it got dragged across something in the back. I would have expected something that looked new when received. But hey, it's a hanger... I wouldn't recommend this for anything lighter than a guitar.**Update** After posting my review, I received an email from the manufacturer and they offered a refund for the device along with updating their description to not include lighter devices, like the Uke. I thought this addressed my concerns with the suitability of use. And since it was damaged, the refund seems like a reasonable solution. Nice to see folks standing behind their products. I'll give it a 4.

For the price, it can't be beat. Of course, don't ever use anchors with drywall and think that will be sturdy enough to support you're prized axe. I mounted all 3 screws into the stud and it's very secure. Currently holding my Yamaha BB 604 bass, and has also been used with a Fender P Bass and Gibson Les Paul. The rubber does a good job of holding the instrument, so I haven't had to worry about it resting against the plastic pieces that close when they feel the weight of the guitar. I'll be picking up a few more soon.

I loved the idea of this product, ordered, installed it--only to find the much-ballyhooed "locking" mechanism is a complete joke. The tabs that supposedly "lock" are NOT securely anchored to the wall mount. They just fall out! Not only will one's guitar FLY OFF the wall in even a light earthquake (I live in SoCal--but quakes are happening all over due to fracking) but without the tabs I fear the guitar will simply fall of its own accord. Ordered a different brand--hoping it'll cover the holes left my this one. My vintage Martin and I are NOT HAPPY.

Looks great on my wall. Took a while to figure out how to install it, because it doesn't come with instructions. The highlights are: when locking in the cradle, there is a spring in the circular base. Push harder than you would think to, then turn to secure. Use pencil to mark the circumference of base and the placement of the screws, so that it will be the proper angle when the cradle is locked in. If you're using the wall anchors like I did, place the base in position and use the screws to mark little divets where you need to drill. (This next step I found assistance on Youtube) Drill the small holes just big enough to start the anchors in and hammer them in flush to the wall. Finally, you can screw in the screws and lock in the cradle.

Love them. Worked great for our project.

Very good gift for my son! He is interested in guitar after watched movie COCO. I bought a guitar for him as a Christmas gift. This is good to hang up the guitar in the wall.

Love the look of these and hold my guitars well. I accidentally put one on the wall a little crooked but it still works fine, I could fix it but it isn’t bad enough. I love the look of these and that they don’t look how most of them do, black and boring. Also I like that when you set the guitar on it, they close my guitar in. Although, the part that closes around the neck does close wrong on one, still gets the job done though... I do have to say that I would definitely buy this again.
