I love the overall book. The front cover catches the eye perfectly. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is look for tips etc etc

I have followed the author for a while, enjoying her ‘how to’ videos online. I have little confidence so bought this to help me brake down various processes eg. Applying make up as a step by step. It’s packed full of useful tips and tricks, even for make up pros.I’m really happy with my purchase and it’s definitely a book to keep returning to. Thank you Sophie Hannah :) x

This book is beautiful on the outside and fascinating, enlightening and educational and so incredibly helpful and inspiring. The different sections on makeup, hair and styling are amazing and so helpful and interesting. I highly recommend you buy this book. The author is Amazing, so artistic and artistically inclined.

On the outside the book is rather tame. Inside are a lot of photos and inspirations. If you like it quirky and if you like "a lot", you're doing right purchasing this book. Half of the book is about make-up. I liked the explanations and the basic knowledge. On the other side, you might think you need every brush, every product, every tool. It is a lot and definitivly more, than anyone needs, who isn't an influencer or partygirl by heart. She also never talks about the time she needs and I think that much makeup needs a lot of time. The book is helpful, if you do have sparetime for playing with make-up, hair and trends. You also should be aware of her style - it is quirky and loud and suits her. That means heavy overdrawn lips, max eyeliner and so on, which she basically does not need to look fab. You won't find the quiet asian looks and nice girl aesthetics here.The fashion-part is interesting but also basic. At one point she talks about "wear what you want, if you want to, your bodyshape is not a trend". this sounds reasonable, but then...her bodytype is slender and small. it is easy für her.tldr: if you are slim, somewhat confident and would like to experiment- buy the book. if not, spare the money.
