Makes a good game much better
I played the base game by itself several times before getting this expansion. The expansion is definitely a nice improvement.Highlights:The core worlds and the ability to jump from one end of the galaxy to the other is great. It's done in an interesting enough way to make it not just feel like a shortcut that cheapens the game. Great job.Galactic Ambitions. Very fun ways to add more structure and climax to your character's story. But I recommend not playing with the "Galactic Explorer" ambition. It's absolutely imbalanced. It's way easier to complete than any of the others. And it's also the most boring by far. I have no idea how it made it into the final cut in its current state. The overall game feature is very cool, however.More stuff. More heroes, more ships, more items, more adventures. More variety, therefore more possible combinations, therefore more replayability.More ways to discover contacts. This was a big problem in the base game. Bounty Hunters pretty much had to tediously brute force hunt for all contacts. And non-bounty hunters were disincentivized from revealing contacts because it would disproportionately help the bounty hunters. By making some market cards automatically reveal contacts where they were purchased, the game is improved. But also, now there is an additional contact per planet, which cancels out some of the improvement.Rule change to make it easier to dig through the market decks. This was sorely needed, but like the contact change, I think they should have done even more. Stale market options are still a problem. One thing that needed improving that they didn't touch was the ability to fill specific gaps in your crew skills. Crew hunting is still difficult. You're more likely to help out your bounty hunter competitor than find a character that's both useful and attainable. Or you encounter a planet that supposedly gets you crew, and simply don't pull the right cards. There's basically no way to intentionally pick up any particular crew skill, no matter how much you know you need it. That's why skill-based characters like Jyn Erso and Dr. Aphra are so good, IMO.

Adds more features and playability
"Star Wars: Outer Rim" was already one of my favorite games in my collection. This expansion added quite a few new features that increase interest and playability. The components are easy to integrate into the base game. The expansion-specific rules book is short and easy to understand. All components were of great quality and craftsmanship.

Takes SW Outer Rim from a decent game to a good game
If you liked Outer Rim, you'll really enjoy this expansion. If you thought OR was fine, this turns it into a good game. You get double the cards! So more ships, more gear, more characters, just more cards in general. And you also get a few more dice. But all the cards being added really helps in replayability for the game. Also added:*crossing the galactic core - with new endcap pieces for the playing board, you no longer are forced to cross back the way you came to drop off that cargo or attempt to complete that mission. You can now attempt to cross the galactic core as an encounter card.*favors (optional module) - you can trade your favor token to get help at a critical moment (this isn't that big of a deal, it's more of a "it's fine" thing, ymmv; probably feel like it has better use in the 3-4 player count)*ambitions (optional module) - this is what adds so much to the game. You need to still obtain infamy to win the game, but now you have a unique ambition, or endgame questline, that your character must accomplish in order to try and win the game. With this focus that each player must pursue, it adds a bit of narrative to why you are bebopping around the planets, and kind of provides a better climax to the game's ending. "Hero of the Rebellion" is one of the ambitions, and it makes you go around doing stuff that benefits the rebels and the final step is, if I recall, destroying an Imperial Star Destroyer patrol token.Would definitely recommend. (But also I wonder why it wasn't included with the base game to begin with.)

Bounty Hunting's Best
After playing a few solo games of Outer Rim, I decided I loved it too much to not invest in the expansion. Outer Rim is one of the best solo games I've ever experienced due to the clever AI deck which allows you to feel you're playing with someone else--and, Unfinished Business has a bounty hunter deck and AI deck which allow solo players to play with more than one AI player! It's one of the best solo mechanics in any modern game. So, whether you're playing a game night with friends, or using the AI deck, you will always have the option to play against another player, and that makes this board game worth the investment of time and credits spent. Personally, Outer Rim has quickly entered my top 5 games of all time, and I hope more expansions are released.I also really love being able to jump from one side of the board to the other--it saves time while searching for bounties, plus the amount of codex cards and encounter cards in the expansion add tons of cool scenarios and laughs to an already super fun game. If you like Outer Rim, you'll love Unfinished Business!

Star Wars Best of the best!!!
What a great game. From the original outer rim to this expansion bravo!! Hands down one of the best board games I have had the pleasure of playing. A few of my pro’s the game board is built sturdy an added expansion fits perfectly with the same quality as the original. The new cards and caracteres add so much replay value be ready to keep this one on the table.Con’s -The game can be a little confusing so I recommend watching some videos online on how to play.If your a Star Wars fan, like board games and want a bang for your buck this game is for you.

So much fun
If you’re a board gamer who digs the Star Wars universe, this should hit all the right notes. Easy to learn, better with this expansion, total fun and easy to connect with others over. (Pro tip: if you have a 3D printer there’s some great game organizer designs out there for this one.)
