Regarding the physical product of the game itself, I love it. Such high quality, and impressive details. I love the artwork and crafty use of small spaces. The box also seems very durable and is the perfect size.To best learn the game, myself and 2 other friends who I played with had to watch a YouTube tutorial video, and also skimmed over the manual. During the first play through, we had to confirm or look up rules a lot. All in all though, the general concept of the game is relatively easy to learn and we nailed the details down after our initial play.Gameplay is very fun! All items of the game besides the cards have their own bag and the meeple items have their own weapin/item rack that holds them. Put some time aside to read the instructions and try a playthrough to help. Also if you watch a video, if you have any questions they will be answered.About the game: The art is excellent in this game. All pictures are nice to look at. Even though the box is tiny, all aspects of the game are normal size. Except the items the meeples can hold and the dice are a bit smaller but a perfect size for the little box. The game can be played one player which is fun. Also flip the map cards to make the game harder for a new challenge. In the game you need to complete quests, get legendary items, kill goblins, and learn magic all for victory points. Now if you think learning spells is stupid and wont help you win, think again. Each objective category needs to be completed for points, and not just one time. Example is if you don't learn any magic or only one spell, this counts AGAINST you at the end. So you can't let anything slide. Also my wife says spells are the answer. (she has beat me each time). First playing the game it can seem the turns take awhile, but after playing a few rounds things speed up. There is a bit of strategy involved with not allowing other players to complete their quests and luck of the dice. Each round is split up into day and night. Day time you move your nights on the map. Night time you complete temples, learn magic and kill goblins. Once everyone is rested, the round is over and Day starts again. Be careful, if you dont rest and the next player rolls enough to deal damage to everyone, and it makes you get to zero health, you become exhausted and you loose all progress that round.All in all this is a fun game to play and you should get it! I recently purchased it to bring along on a family vacation. I ended up teaching my 2 nephews, wife, and sister-in-law how to play it. It's a short game, but can be very challenging depending on the order of the map tiles and where the castles are placed. It did take a little while to get used to all the rules as the game is pretty complex with everything you have to do on a move, but it wasn't above the head of a few that would shy away from games like this.Pros:- Many ways to win- Never the same game twice- Alternate play rules- Great single-player or multi-player game- There is a QR code on the instructions linking to a video explaining how to play the game- Small box for everythingCons:- Sometimes games can be too short- Rules can be a bit foggy in some places- Small Meeple accessories can be a bit flimsy (but I still haven't broken or lost one after 7 or 8 games)Overall I would say this is a great game.
