But I also can't seem to get my corner square triangles, stitch and flip corners, snowballs, whatever you call them squared up to the outer edge after sewing and pressing. I am also not a fan of the waste that is created when you cut that corner off. A friend at retreat told me about this ruler and I gave it a try. You can use it to square up the blocks as written in the pattern for a perfect sew line instead of your drawn line across the center. However, the best part is that in a concept similar to no waste 4 at a time geese this ruler comes with instructions to recalculate any pattern to two usable triangles instead of one square and the extra off cut. The Folded Corner Clipper is a different product. **Q: Does this ruler have a non-slip surface?** A: No....I just put some thin strips of Nexcare surgical tape if I have an isdue **Q: What’s the difference between this ruler & the easy angle ruler by sharon hultgren??** A: This ruler will true up your HST square bef you open/press it...so you only make 2 quil cuts...instead of 4 per each side way faster.....the easy angle doesn't do that.....this will true them up and also cut (like the Easy angle) your Hats from strips....so 2 things for one **Q: can this be used for a mitered corner?** A: I’ve never tried that.
