Been using it & I din see an option unless u switch it off. The lighting is not too much though. **Q: do you have to keep the unit plugged in?** A: This diffuser needs the plug, we don't have a wireless diffuser at present. **Q: Are these scents safe for pets?** A: I would talk to your vet. Tea tree can cause neurological problems in dogs. Orange can cause hostile behavior in cats. Lavender is usually safe for both.
