First time father and yes, I'm one of those thats over protective. I couldn't get my head around how other parents would say just feel the water. By doing that the temperature of the water is never consistant. By using this device it tells me the temperature of my daughters bath aswel as a fun toy for her to play with. Its put my mind at ease. Great item.

3 years later & i need to write this review to say just how well this bath thermometer has served me!! & is still serving me. I am still on the same battery; which is incredible for the amount of baths my 3 year old has had; with this product to help me get the water perfect. Initiative + this product = perfect water temperature every time 3 years later.

This is not nearly as good as the advent one. I wa spooking for something cheaper for baby 2, but regard this as a waste of money. I can never get it to be on in decent time to make it practical to use, and it has an annoying blue flashing light while it turns off (once bath is over)

I bought this bath thermometer because I have a disability that prevents me from accurately judging how hot my bathwater is. With this I can have the water at the exact temperature I want and know that it is safe.You simply shake or pat the thermometer to turn it on and it turns off automatically after 30 minutes. Another good feature is that the battery can be replaced when necessary and it will still be waterproof.

I like the fact that this is compact, easy to use and when not used in the bath can be used to measure the room temperature. I like to dim the lights before bath time and the flashing blue light feature for safe temp and flashing red for too hot are really uselful.

About to buy my second for baby number 2. Absolutely recommend - only replacing because we seem to have misplaced the first!

Absolutely love this. A little shake and it comes on, temperature reading updates periodically and once it’s in the bath my toddler likes playing with it - perfect!

Have to hit it quite hard to get it to turn on. Doesnt turn on automatically on contact with water which is a shame. Temp appears to be accurate though.
