Poor quality
The item overall is of very poor quality, and certainly not worth for this price. Returned it since one of the light did not work as well.

Absolutely not worth the price
I am quite disappointed in these. They do what they are supposed to (allow you to combine the colors of light), but their design is atrocious. They have the manufacturing quality of a cheap plastic toy from the 1980's--the old, fragile kind of plastic that looks white if you bend it slightly (some of the tabs in the battery compartments are already showing signs of impending snapping-off); the edges of the seams between the parts are wobbly and sharp; the 'caps' that come off the end to change the light from a slit to square are every-so-slightly asymmetrical, so that if you put it on backward (which direction you can determine only by trial-and-error), the edges are offset; the switches looks like they came from radio shack; the magnets on the side are all cut slightly different sizes and not aligned. On top of their cheap-looking and -feeling construction, they don't even come with the six AA batteries you need, and the "quick start guide," which is in fact a few paragraphs on the inside of the box lid, is just silly.I have achieved much better results illustrating the additive properties of light with the little, finger LED's (that you can buy in bulk for very little cost) inside of a paper cylinder. These things are very much not worth their exorbitant $29 price. I'm returning them.

DO NOT BUY
These SUCK. Got a set for my classroom for light demos.1. Once batteries are in, they can't support their own weight and slide down the board2. The light bleeds everywhere so they're no good for showing divergence and convergence through lenses.
