this is really about Agave in general not this particular brand - I like to use it as a honey replacement because even though it has roughly the same calorie and sugar content, you can use less due to how thin it is example: recipe wants 1.5 C honey, I use < 0.75 C of agave

I am addicted to agave, and bought it frequently from Costco, until they changed the product. It is a VERY subtle change on the packaging, but a very distinct change in the taste. I was thrilled to see the "old" product here on Amazon, and immediately bought 2, even though it is quite overpriced comparatively. The product arrived today...and it is NOT the product shown, it is the same product that is at Costco currently. The difference....if you look at this label, you will see, to the right of the blue agave plant picture (left side of the picture), the word "light" in an oval. That is my ticket to deliciousness! the product that was sent is NOT "light." I am SO disappointed and will be trying to figure out how to return this item, since I already have about 4 of the wrong kind of Costco. ( It took me awhile to figure out the difference)

its the perfect replacement for sugar. it does not have a dominating taste so its perfect for coffee and tea. it also last along time so its a real good substitute for refined sugar

Just got this today and its taste is fine...This isn't my first foray into agave so I wasn't surprised that the taste is acceptable...My problem is not with the product but the cheap cap on it...It's not some nice thick flip but a cheap thin one that is barely attached to the whole top...In fact the little thin strip that keeps it attached to the screw off part of the cap is so thin that it started to peel off just after the first use. Also, it doesn't flip back very far and you have to be careful when pouring or you can get it all over the cap and make a mess. In fact its such a pain I ended up just tearing it off which leaves a hole exposed. Removing the whole cap makes more of a mess when using it...Good stuff at a fair price, but I think I will pass on getting it again unless they improved the cap on it...

I am using this instead of corn syrup in my baking and other recipes. It's delish! I got it because my son has UC and was trying to stay gluten free. Turns out I like it so much I am using it in everything that requires a sweetener.
