Review: AXUS D2 DIGITAL PIANO - Having recently embarked on learning to play the piano beginning with a simple electronic keyboard I soon realised that I wanted a proper piano with weighted keys, I then set about some research into different pianos, should I get a non electronic traditional one or a digital version, taking into consideration costs, traditional would have to be a second hand item simply because of the cost of a new one, having to have it tuned and not having any control over the volume I opted for the digital option, spent a lot of time studying reviews on various options and makes viewing you tube on the models / makes I'd selected as possibilities until I finally decided this was the one. It's everything I could have wanted, sounds amazing, the keyboard is fantastic with the feeling of weight when pushing the key's down and the true sense /sound with a half or full press on the key. The sound is much truer to a traditional non electric piano than the electric keyboards are. The stool is a brilliant addition giving the perfect height for sitting down to play, I was finding it hard to get the best comfortable position using a chair, the storage inside of it is excellent though I can see in time it won't be big enough to house the many book's on music I'm already collecting. It's fantastic having the ability to control the volume on digital pianos especially if practicing early or later in the day. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed with was the fact that the colour was not quite as I'd expected, it's more a grey / black shade, but it does have a redish look in a sunny room, though its only just visible as the piano is well out of the way of any sun actually shining on it. The other thing that you have to consider is it comes in two large boxes and has to be put together, the actual keyboard is extremely heavy and took two people to lift into position with a third guiding them with it's slotting into position on it's cabinet, don't even consider trying this on your own there's no way you'd manage it without serious damage to the piano or injury to yourself! This is definitely a beautiful instrument and I'd say better looking than some of the other manufacturers I'd researched also a lot cheaper. Couldn't be happier with my purchase
Review: Amazing value for money - I never write reviews here but felt I should this time. I'm a novice who's learning, I went from a Yamaha NP12 keyboard to a Gear 4 Music DP6 and now to this. Now I'm no expert, however, I can appreciate some of the comments of the reviews that this doesn't quite have the quality of sound when you compare to a Yamaha etc... but, it sounds so much better than the DP6, the DP6 was clunky, the action was terrible and the sharps/flats didn't sing no matter how hard you hit them! From my novice opinion, the action is great! It responds how I would expect and after a few hours of playing I realised how soft I could play the keys to express emotion, I can now play soft and I feel the sound relates to how it would if you were hitting a string with a hammer. For the size of the cabinet, speaker size and the fact it has air flow ports, I would have expected more bass to be honest. Piece references I Giorni - I can now see how I'll be able to play the bottom note with more power (more practice required) of the bass section in the main hook Moonlight Sonata (1st movement) - Wow! I can play this piece but I've never played it like this. The high notes really sing now, too much I'm fact! I'm used to hitting them hard with the DP6, after some adjustment it sounds like I want it to, the action on this piano makes this piece sound like it should (almost) and that's after just an hour of playing! The soft pedal really solidifies this, the bass chords really benefit from this feature (still learning though as using sustain and soft is alien to me so sounds a but muddy when I get it wrong) Calin (Samuel Felix) - This is a recent composer that I accidentally stumbled upon, simple yet beautiful piece. It's very melancholic, the DP6 was harsh, the action didn't allow me to do it justice whereas this piano change it from a nice sounding piece of music to something that could make you cry, given the right performance and situation. There are many others but these are the ones that stood out in my musical library. It was delivered a week late but that was partly me and partly desertcart, when a confirmed delivery date was reached, it came 15 minutes early had a message day before with time slot and a call an hour before delivery. Delivery men were friendly, brought it into my house, had a chat, good experience. (I know others have not had the same experience, maybe it depends on where you live?) Build quality is really good! It's MDF not chipboard (it's only £500 remember) It does have a wobble but I'm OK with that because it could be my floors, I don't know. Either way I've recifited it by putting folded paper underneath the legs (better solution pending as I was just gagging to play) Assembly - Now, I'm a bit confused by all the bad reviews on assembly. Yes, it's heavy, it's very heavy. However, I assembled it on my own in 75 minutes. The instructions are a bit rubbish but understandable if you dont flap about it and just look at them for a bit. I appreciate that everybody will have different circumstances and this may not be for everyone, but, little tip, the piano unit balances upright, put the first side on and screw it all in (laying it down throws it out of lining). WITH THE TOP LEG/SIDE ON AT THE TOP IT WILL LOSE BALANCE SO BE CAREFUL. Once screwed in, carefully flip it and do the other side. After that, pit it upside down (legs facing upwards) then attach the pedal deck and back board nad voila, you have an upside down piano 😅 I managed to flip it but was hard, I recommend 2 people! All in all, I effing love this piano, for £500, it's a huge step up for me and I'm so glad I bought it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice digital piano at a good price!
*by R***T on 9 January 2012*

We decided to buy a digital piano to help the children with their musical studies. After looking at the various websites available we got a lot of conflicting advice so looked on amazon, with a price in mind. This seemed to be the best value for money while still having the visual appeal of a real piano. We found it very easy to put together, the sound is great and it looks attractive. It was delivered in two large boxes which made it easy to manhandle. The only tool needed for assembly was a cross head screwdriver. The piano has 7 main settings such as Grand Piano, Electric Piano, Organ etc, but it also has another 128 'sounds' it can make such as flutes, violins, bagpipes and even gunshots and helicopters! There are eight demo tracks; 3 by Chopin, and 1 each by Debussy, Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, and a pop tune. It has many other features such as recording and metronome. We are really pleased with this product and look forward to hearing the children play and maybe even having a go ourselves! Recommended.
