I use these tongs for reaching things from high shelves. The tips are stiff enough to grab onto things and not bend.

I use them to get jars from the top selves of my kitchen cabinets. The ends are just soft enough to grab a large bottle, but yet sturdy enough not to collapse under the weight of the object. Good design at a fair price. I'm buying another one.

I have severe osteoporosis and need to keep my back straight to avoid a fracture. That means no bending over to reach the bottom of my washing machine (why is my new machine so much deeper than my old one???) This is perfect for getting even those little things, like socks, out of the machine. I keep it hanging on a hook next to the washing machine so it is always where I need it.

So easy to use. Great for grilling.

This type of tong isn’t for grasping small things that can escape the grooves in the tongs. However, the length has been great for me. Helpful in the kitchen, sure, but this has been extremely helpful for me because I have limited mobility and neurological issues. I drop things on the floor and can’t get down to get them all the time. These are the perfect length that I can reach from the chair I use (a rolling office chair 😄-hey, it works!) to do things in the kitchen since I can’t stand up for longer than a couple minutes.These work great for cooking hot dogs or chicken or whatever you want in the kitchen as long as you don’t put too much weight. They will bend. They do have a temp limit too-see description-I don’t remember. But, for me, the lifesaver is for a “grabber” because my actual grabber won’t pick lots of stuff up. I use it for taking things out of my fish tank. Works well. No rust.

We recently bought a house that came with appliances (including washer and dryer). I didn't realize until we moved in that the washing machine is a deep, bottomless, pit. I am not tall but my husband who is 6' 4" has to reach over and lean in just to reach the bottom. Obviously, this is a problem. I tried using a step-stool but had visions of falling in head first with my feet poking out of the top (picture the meme)...anyway, it was either sell the washer or find a better solution. Viola! These tongs are perfect! The silicone tips keep my washer from getting scratched and the extra long length allows me to reach even the smallest of items out of the bottom of the evil pit ( er, washer) with ease. I can't attest to how they work in the kitchen but I do highly recommend them if you can't reach your laundry!
