Marrikas Flannel Duvet Cover Set Queen Grey

One of the things my son requested for graduation was a new purple flannel duvet set. His previous one, from Garnet Hill, had survived admirably from elementary school to graduation. But he finally shredded his jagged teenage toenails through the center. Unfortunately, neither The Company Store nor Garnet Hill are doing dark or primary purple this year, so I took a chance. The color is just the right shade. They are not as high-quality as he’s used to. They have pilled a lot, making a mess all over his room and clothes. The pilling is slowing down after a few washes, but the flannel is getting thinner already. It works for now, but he’ll need a new cover sooner than I’d like. Also, he asked me to sew ties in the inside corners after the first use because the down comforter bunched up without them. It is what it is for a low priced product.

Just received my queen size white duvet cover. While the fabric is soft, the thread count of the weave is disappointing - it's very thin. It basically looks like two queen low-quality flannel sheets sewn together with a button closure on the bottom. When I put my hand inside the cover, I can see my skin color through the fabric. It's opaque, but color is still visible.To note - there are no internal ties to secure the duvet. I have clips, so I am not fussed.Bottom line, I am not that adept at sewing, but I could have made this myself with my mother's 60 year old Singer sewing machine and 2 flat sheets for less money. It's functional for my purpose, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a friend that sews and don't need much.

Very nice! Good quality, well made, 100% thick soft cotton. Fabric smells clean and fresh; no odor whatsoever of any chemicals or dyes. The color in Amazons picture looks too royal blue, but the color is actually more of a midnight blue. I wouldn't even say it's a true navy blue; navy blue is very dark and can look black in very low light, where this still looks blue in low light. Pillow shams are made well too; opening is on side with a cuff to fold over to enclose the pillow. The design / pattern is perfect. It is not too busy or too bold, and if I want a change, I can flip it over to the other side which is solid blue, and it's the same shade of blue; no color variations.

The duvet I got was supposed to be gray. It looks like it’s brown, not gray.

Love this duvet cover set. The color is exactly as shown, more plum than purple, and the green in the paisley pattern is surprisingly sophisticated and elegant. the flannel is thick and warm and not too heavy. There was no smell and i had no issues laundering it at home. My one minor criticism is that the opening in the pillow shams is on the end, rather than the middle, and my pillows tend to peak out.

Very soft and substantial. However the color was also important to me. the 'ivory' is not as pictured, it is much darker and more yellow. I have a tan bed and was hoping for real ivory and not as yellow of a color.. Creme color.

I purchased this same set in a different color and was very impressed by the quality of flannel used so bought one in a different color. The flannel is thick and washes well, keeps its color and does not pill. It actually gets softer with each washing without losing fabric integrity. love it

It had a normal "new blanket out of a plastic case" smell, but I washed it, and I love it. It doesn't have ties in the corner, but neither does my duvet, so that's fine. The buttons were intact and work exactly how they should. Very comfy!!
