Waders & Boot Repair Adhesive: 15g (Clear) - Durable Glue for Boots and Wader Repairs

This is easy to apply and once fully set, completely covered two holes in wellies, causing cracks where your foot bends. Have been for a walk on the Moor in rain and feet were dry. Saves having to replace footwear!

Bought to seal split in welly boot caused by barbed wire. It was right on the 'crease' where the toe flexes so wasn't expecting much success as all the previous attempts with rubber glue, puncture repair kits and self adhesive patches had failed. But at a quarter of the price of a new pair of 'safety' toecap wellies thought it was worth a try. So far so good, put plenty in and on the split and squeezed together and left the specified time to cure and despite plenty of bending and flexing whilst tree and hedge planting they are still water tight. Interesting to see how long it lasts and whether the adhesive can be reused once opened. It's been stored in the freezer as the manufacture recommends. Will update later......

Brilliant product. I was sceptical that this would work on my hunting boots (essentially leather lined rubber wellingtons) as they had come away at the heel and torn completely. I used some tape to bolster the tear and liberally used the Stormsure on the inside and outside of the seam. When cured, there was no sign of repair and the boots looked as good as new. I have walked through streams knee deep and rugged terrain and still no leaks whatsoever! Completely waterproof and tough. I am completely amazed at this product plus it saved me forking out three hundred quid on another pair of boots. Excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended!

What a product! OUTSTANDING PRODUCT: Does exactly what is says, amazing results. My only criticism is that it is very shiny when dry so you can see the repair. HOWEVER, I got around this by, once dry, I put a glove on and used the tip of my finger to dab the surface with a tiny bit more of the adhesive, creating a rough texture which when dry makes the repair almost invisible. I have now repaired the other two pairs of Wellingtons I have in the garage!

As these wellies were covered of cracks, I decided to cover the entire boots with Stormsure. I saw someone do this on a Youtube video & it seemed to do the job. I followed the Guidelines = Sanded the wellies, dusted them & waited 12 hours (Actually I waited 24 hours) for the glue to 'dry'. I was happy with the result & the Stormsure was flexible & made the boots stronger. I couldn't wait to give the to my nephew. Then that picture happened... The boots don't feel tacky to touch at all (in fact very smooth). However when you bring the boots together, they stick to each other like chewing gum! I had to use quite a bit of force to get them apart, which then resulted in chunks of the Stormsure ripping from one boot and sticking onto the other. Now there's a weak point in the glue & water will seep into this, resulting in no more waterproofing. The moral of this story is that I had to use to get the boots apart. Imagine my little nephew or any small child getting their boots stuck like this. It would be no different to tieing their ankles. They'd fall and hurt themselves. I'd feel so much guilt! Luckily I haven't let him wear those boots. Such a shame as I used this glue to repair my Second Hand Hunters. I can be mindful of this issue & adjust myself. You can't expect an innocent child to do so.

So pleased to have found something that fixes wellies! I wear wellies a lot and they don’t last but I hate throwing them away both because of the financial and environmental cost but have tried other glues and they either don’t work or don’t last. Stormsure has made my wellies totally waterproof and was super easy to use although being so sticky it is essential to wear the disposable gloves provided. Also brilliantly it can be stored in the freezer until needed again preventing it from going off in the packet. I also think it is very reasonably priced.

Strong and elastic glue, used it few times on different types of shoes, with hard and soft outsoles, unfortunately after opening doesn't stay useful for long (getting hard in tube) ,so for small amounts better get pack with 3 smaller tubes.

I repaired a 1.5 inch split in my muck wellies with this glue about 1 month ago. The repair is watertight and is holding up well to frequent wear. Read the instructions! The patches are not for wellyboot repairs, the glue is. The repair is slightly shiny compared to the boot but it does work.
