My previous phone holders were constantly slipping off of the vents and moving around, and they blocked most of the airflow as well. This one stays on very securely with a metal hook around the vent that is tightened via a front-facing knob. Both the holder itself and the arm it is attached to rotate very freely, allowing a great deal of control over the viewing angle and position, and once tightened they stay in place very securely even on bumpy roads or during sudden stops. My only complaint is that the "eject" button used to release the phone is located on the back of the holder rather than the front, and is sometimes slightly awkward to reach. But it is fairly easy to press once located, and this is a very minor issue.
