For a kids’ RC toy, the controls are much more capable than expected. It can send multiple signals at once (simultaneous multi-channel control), so you can move forward while rotating at the same time instead of everything being one command at a time. That makes it feel much more realistic and easier to operate. The attachments are a big highlight. It comes with a bucket, hammer, and claw, and the claw and hammer are actually actuated since they plug into the machine. Swapping them out is simple and adds a lot of play value. The bucket being metal was a nice surprise and makes it feel sturdier than most plastic toys in this price range. Another underrated feature: you can mute the sound effects. The noises are fine at first, but being able to turn them off is great for parents (and sanity). Overall, this is a well-thought-out RC excavator with solid functionality, good attachment options, and better controls than most toys like this.
