Quality, the only question is the compressor lifespan, but that might be fixed...
I have to write this after seeing the reviews about older LGs here. This model has only been out since March of '23. I bought it after the compressor failed on my previous, 8 1/2 year old LG. It is basically the same model, but, because of the known issues with their Linear compressor, they now have a new compressor type, Smart Inverter. From what I've read, there haven't been a bunch of issues with it yet. Time will tell. But you would think since they got a bad rep b/c of the Linear compessor that they would put a lot of effort into making sure the new one is OK. Also, the build quality of the LG fridges are much better than most of the competition at the same price level. I was at a huge home goods store here in Dallas, looking at the clearance fridges. Lots of Frigidaires were returned. And the low end Kitchen Aids looked very similar to the Frigidaires. Just looking at the seals on the doors, and the trays... much lower quality. I really liked my old LG, but figured it was better to get a new one than spend $500 or so to get it repaired. A bit of a shame, as otherwise it is in perfect condition. One thing to note is that the repair guys say that ice units in the door can often fail. But so many fridges have that now. And I just use cube trays anyway and don't even hook up the water line. Bottom line, LG makes a well built fridge. If I have any issues in the years ahead with this model I'll post an update, but not expecting any.

No INSTALLATION Included!
The product is great, even though I've only had it a few days. I would have given this 5 stars except when I purchased it I mistakenly thought installation would be included. There were other very competitive prices from other dealers who either included delivery and installation in their price or clearly stated what the add-on charge would be for either delivery and/or installation. If you're not handy doing these things, disabled in some way or elderly, you don't want to be stuck with a refrigerator in your kitchen that's not installed. I'm 74 and disabled, so I was very distressed when the trucking company broght my refrigerator in and hooked it up to the wall electrical outlet and water lne and then said, OPPS, we weren't supposed to do that because there's no installation included. That ment I need to get all the papers and tape off, the drawers, shelves and handles installed myself. Not real easy for 74 and dusabled. My point is, don't buy from any place that doesn't clearly offer installation as part of the price or as an add-on. Don't assume it's included in the price if there's no mention of installation or an offer to purchase it as an add-on. I was really disappointed in Amazon, as I've bought large items from them in the past and never had this kind of problem. Probably because in the past they at least offered installation as an add on which I purchased. Not in this case though. Buy from somewhere you can get everything you need, including installation!

Don't Buy an LG Refrigerator!!
Just lost the second compressor in my LG Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator. Compressor only good for about three years. First compressor was covered by warranty... but not the labor to install it and food loss. Three years later, the second compressor is dead.... No warranty on second compressor. LG couldn't get the "Smart Diagnosis" feature to work over the telephone so they offered to have an "approved" service tech come out at my expense to do the troubleshooting that "Smart Diagnosis" is supposed to do at no charge. When I refused that, they offered me a 10% discount on a new refrigerator....LOL. Wish I had known about the class action law suits like Mouzari's suit for fraud that claims that LG continues to make a linear compressor that falls short of its 20-year durability.

LG Can Kick Rocks
I would not recommend this product to anyone. Do not be fooled by the French doors, the clear shelving, ice/water dispenser, freezer drawer. It will not be as impressive when the product stops working 4 years in. LG had been impossible with coming to repair the fridge. Their warranty service at this point is non-existent. I have made three separate appointments for service, taken off work, and I was not even given the common curtesy of behind notified that no technician was coming. In summary: Looks pretty, breaks quickly, no help to fix it; thus, waste of money and time.
