## Description

Originally released in 1975, Fleetwood Mac’s self titled release marks the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks into the band’s lineup – the line up as it is today. FLEETWOOD MAC: REMASTERED EDITION features the original album with newly remastered sound.

Review: Just What You Would Want In A "Remaster"! - Excellent album, a longtime fav of mine and just superb remaster sound quality. It should be said the 2002/2004 remaster of this title, also by Rhino/Warner was quite good to start with...a good clean, clear and mellow sounding remaster, improved upon the original CD release. The 2018 remaster here, however, picks up where the 2002/2004 remaster left off and adds a very nice sense of air and space, and even slightly stronger bass, without sacrificing any of the prior remaster's warmth or organic feel. Highs are a little more detailed, yet just as sweet...a bit more transparent overall. Overall result here is that rare thing in the world of remasters: a remastering job with all hits and no misses at all. Wish I could say the same about all of Rhino's remastering attempts. But having been going back through Stevie Nicks' solo career lately, I have consistently been running across the more recent Rhino remasters that (for my money anyway...I know it may depend a lot on your system and your ears, really) have proven to me to be disastrous. Oh you can certainly tell that they've been remastered with a tremendous (even perhaps an 'unbelievable'??) sense of instrument and voice separation...which ordinarily might be a great thing, but with the Rhino remasters that I'm referring to here it is also invariably accompanied with hardness throughout the range that borders on brittleness. (Stand Back: 1981 - 2017 being an example of just that.) For such titles, I've had a little better luck with the original Reprise or Warner masterings before Rhino got a hold of them. But I have to say this particular Rhino/Warner remastering job is not just "good", it's truly excellent. Enjoy!
Review: Better sounding remaster - This is a better remastered than earlier versions.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-have for Fleetwood Mac fans
*by C***L on November 20, 2025*

This was my first exposure to Fleetwood Mac. Yes, I know about Peter Green, Bob Welch, et al, but I'd never heard of the band before this album came out in the summer of 1975. The first tune, "Monday Morning" blasted through my four-foot speakers and my teenage ears were hooked. Full disclosure: I'm a huge Lindsey Buckingham fan. I love his vocals and his guitar playing is typically under-recognized. His creative genius fueled this album, although he encountered resistance from Fleetwood and John McVie regarding arrangements and artistic direction. Joining FM for the first time on this album, Buckingham and then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks take the band and transform it. Fleetwood slays on the drums. John McVie deserves more recognition for his bass playing, and the soulful Christine McVie can move you to tears. This album is chock-full of songs that could all have been hits. Stevie fans will enjoy "Rhiannon" and "Landslide," both made memorable by her vocals and Lindsey's beautiful guitar. Christine shines on "Warm Ways," "Over My Head," "Say You Love Me," and "World Turning," the latter shared with Buckingham. Lindsey is great in "Blue Letter," a fast-paced and energetic number, and "I'm So Afraid," which, if you haven't heard live, you must! Check it out on FM's "The Dance." This gives us a taste of the greatness that emerged on the Rumours album. It doesn't have quite the angst and anger but still displays the amazing chemistry of a band who helped define music in the 70s and 80s.
