Portable and with dual laser for both metal and wood engraving
The new LaserPecker 4 is a big step up, not just more power but a second laser module of 1064nm mean it can engrave a lot more material than before. It got a bit heavier with the extra electronic but still retain the small footprint of the previous models. The mounting bracket allows it to be used at multi angle, hand held is also possible for small engraving with the magnetic mounting cone cover as a distance focus guide.I opted for the slider and rotary claw pack, this allows me to engrave bigger than 10x10cm (450nm) which is great for longer projects. The claw rotary is not only for big stuff like water bottles but also small item like rings and bracelets. The 1064nm laser is really precise and can mark metal, it is ideal for engraving tiny logo and text the size of the inner side of a finger ring.On the go I can use the phone for simple engraving, layers of text and image of different settings can be done in the app, I personally prefers using my PC as bigger screen helps with quicker work flow. It comes with a few metal cards and thin wood for testing and I have good results with both using just the phone app tips and prompts. Each part of the machine is design and made with care, as long as installation is done with care there is absolutely no flex or wobble anywhere. This helps to make precise and clean engraving images on different materials. The only negative I have is the integration with Lightburn software, it does work and I can get engraving done but it is not native support and there are crashes and software bugs which requires powering off the machine and restart constantly. I hope these issue will be resolved with firmware and software update soon as it will be so much more advance if we could use Lightburn properly.

Great quality
The LP4 and accessories feel like you’re handling a quality product. The app is really effective and intuitive too. Also impressed with post sale care - LP reached out and were able to provide some help since I’ve never laser engraved before. There’s some useful resources on YouTube to help you set up and use the LP4.

Missing parts
The rest of the order was great, however we’re missing the locking pins for the laser protection cover and the usb hub, which means this additional £200 piece of kit useless

Beginner
Great laser engraver. Easy to set up and use. For a beginner it needs practice to get perfect results but that goes for anything you have never done before. Would recommend
