Working in a detention center, he is constantly exposed to illnesses and I have been worried about his covid exposure. He had been taking vitamin d3 and vitamin c daily but would still come home with various illnesses about every 2 months. After he was diagnosed with an influenza a infection at the beginning of July, I began researching zinc supplements to boost his immune system. We chose Jarrows because it is a good brand and the dosing seemed appropriate. The copper it contains is also necessary to maintain homeostasis since the zinc can disrupt the body’s copper balance. My husband began taking this medicine in late July. He also began working the covid unit at least one week a month beginning in August, and so far he hasn’t gotten sick one time from any illnesses at all. It is now November 1 and I am reordering again (this is our third order - I am taking this daily as well). His immune system bad been boosted from the zinc especially, but the vitamin C and d3 have also helped. One thing to note: please take this with food. If I get distracted and don’t eat within 20 minutes of taking this pill, I get nauseous and I feel terrible. I will also have diarrhea and feel like I am flushed. It is truly horrible. But taking with food, I never have stomach issues.
