A: Perfectly fine, the usb is only to power it on, but the 3.5mm jack takes audio from the device it's connected to.

A: The Creative Pebble can be powered connecting them straight to a USB powered port of your PC or by plugging the USB cable to a smartphone/tablet charger.

I bought these to replace the rather tinny speakers on my monitor, and I’ve been genuinely impressed. For such a compact and affordable pair of speakers, the sound quality is excellent. Voices are clear, music has plenty of detail, and there’s more bass than I expected without being overpowering. I also really like the modern design—they look smart on the desk without taking up much space. Being USB-powered keeps cable clutter to a minimum, and they were literally plug-and-play with no setup required. They’re perfect for everyday use, whether that’s listening to music while working, watching YouTube, streaming films or joining video calls. If you’re expecting room-shaking bass you’ll need to spend considerably more, but for desktop speakers at this price, they’re outstanding value. Highly recommended if you want great sound in a small package.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for price. Few negatives but expected at price point.

***Update: After changing PC and using these for multiple years now I can definitely say my opinion has changed. The hissing is only noticeable if speakers are turned fully up by the dial but this can be combatted by turning sound up in windows instead and keeping the dial at half way. Also the overall sound quality is good for size and they have held up well with no issues at all so good durability too. Overall given an extra 2 stars as these are great value compact speakers that have lasted me well. ***Update end. For £22 these are a good alternative to using built in speakers on monitor. Deeper and warmer sounds so overall less tinny than a monitor speaker. However, don't expect amazing sound from these, they get the job done and look very nice but there not amazing sound. The only issue I found was when plugged in to front of pc they make a very loud crackle rendering them unusuable. However, plugged in to back of pc the sound is still there just very quietly pretty much unnoticeable. Overall decent buy.
