Product Description Andean Sol Organic Black Chia Seeds are a powerhouse of nutrients. Chia is a tiny edible seed harvested from the Salvia hispanica plant and can be added to food to boost nutrition. "Chia" means strength in the Mayan language and folklore has it that the tiny seeds were used as a energy booster in ancient cultures of Central America and Southern Mexico. Great chia in very smart package!
As a regular chia buyer I usually buy my organic chia from a local shop, though was intrigued when I saw that the packaging had a spout on it. My verdict on the spout packaging – really handy! The spout size is just right so you get the perfect amount you need when pouring – and it’s resealable as well. After a few incidents with chia seeds spilling all over the floor when spooning it out of a bag, this really helped.As to the product’s quality, I would say it’s top notch. It had a “fresh” chia smell and taste with none of the mouldy or musty smells that I have had the misfortune of experiencing with some other brands. Highly recommend.

Well designed Pouch, great product
I love chia seeds and used these as a topping to my breakfast cereal this morning and these tasted great. I also tried on scrambled eggs too. The convenient spout pouch is really well designed and stops them spilling all over the table!
