8.5 FT Telescoping Ladder

I recently purchased this ladder and I must say it has exceeded my expectations.!! This 12.5 FT one-button retraction aluminum ladder has proven to be a versatile and convenient tool for various tasks around the house and for pursuing my hobbies. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that it does weigh more than expected, but then that also assures you that they didn't cut cost when it comes to the material in manufacturing it!

Hubby loves this ladder because it's "cool" and he enjoys the reactions from his buddies when he shows it off. He loves that it can fit in the trunk of his car (but for his small car it does take up a lot of space, but much less space than any other ladder could). I think he mentioned longer or different types of closing straps would have been preferred for long term use, but it is no biggie. He was surprised at the weight of the ladder and says it weighs as much as a regular ladder would. I tell him this is a good thing because that means the metal is thicker. You need to make sure the parts click into place when opening the ladder up, otherwise your going to have a misstep surprise when you go to climb up and the step goes down. We practiced climbing it several times before we needed to use it to get the hang of it. So far it slowly closes down for storage but I fear with constant use that slow close feature will wear down. My husband likes it overall. He bought it to use to get to the top of our camping trailer for light use, but he now wants to keep it in his small car for when he has to do handy man work, so it will most likely be used 1-5 times a month. It's just a different ladder but that's not a bad thing. It is sturdy and we'll made.

A good telescoping ladder for the price. I also got the Lionladder 9.5 foot and 12.5 foot for comparison. This ladder is 10.5’. So if you need the extra foot this is a good ladder. The Lion 9.5’ has the rubber hook/bumpers on the top which I really like and the mechanism feels a little sturdier to me. But I like the extender feet as well so I went with the 12.5’ Lionladder, because I need the extra length, but it is a bit more.

I love love love this ladder. I’m 5’5” female and it’s so easy for me to expand, retract and store. It feels very sturdy, moves around with ease and light weight. Honestly, I needed a ladder to hang holiday decorations and do little fixing up items on the house. The thought of storing a big bulky ladder made me cringe. I have the space, but the A frames are expensive for a safe sturdy one, I’ve snapped my fingers in them a couple times when wrestling to expand and they’re so bulky and unpleasant to look at (people say my garage looks like a man cave for my car because it doesn’t look like a garage). I thought “ok, I’ll try this- seems too good to be true.” I was pleasantly surprised at how great the ladder was. I feel safe on it. And love that it can be stored in a cabinet. So thrilled with my purchase. (I received no benefit for writing a good review from the seller all genuine).

Light weight and convenient. Wife and I used this ladder to paint in stairwell 12 feet tall. Used in conjunction with stair block and saved a bunch of time and money. No scaffolding needed. just have someone hold or heel the bottom while you paint up high or reach. Safety first. I am less than 200 lbs and it worked for us with no issues. Follow instructions on setting it up correctly in the sequence recommended. Perfect and probably the best of the telescoping ladders available here.

I've been using this for about 2 months now at my seasonally parked camper. Great to get up on top of the unit and clean gutters, roof and slideouts. Haven't used it around the house yet but it would certainly fit most light to medium home needs. It's not that it feels weak, it's just that by design it flexes a little and takes a little getting used to. I'm 200 pounds and I don't feel unsafe on it. Easy to move around collapsed as it has a velcro strap and a molded plastic hand grip to make carrying easier. It weighs about 25 pounds, so, not so bad to carry. Collapsed it should fit in most RV storage areas. I'd buy it again!

As a professional truck driver I'm not always able to just throw my securement straps over a load. This ladder easily extends up to 12 feet, is easy to move around because it's so lightweight, I have never felt uncomfortable climbing it, and I weigh over 200 pounds,and it retracts to be small enough to fit behind my passenger seat. I recommend this to anyone who wants a full size ladder that is fully functional and yet can be easily stowed just about anywhere. It's also very lightweight.

Does it exactly what I needed it to do, nice and portable to be used for my RV/Camper.

This is very convenient for putting in my suv for jobs. It is not meant for outside winter weather (snow spots) and not sure I would want to climb up more than 5 or 6 platforms without someone holding it safely at the bottom. works for what I need it for.

Received the ladder. Very happy with the versatility of it. However when we opened the package there was a large dent on the top rung of the ladder. The original packaging was not damaged in any way and the outer packaging from Amazon was not damaged in any way. Considering the amount of money the ladder cost was disappointed to see damage from the original manufacturer.
