I've always used a Shure SM58 or a Sennheiser wireless mic. Not long ago we played a venue that provided a sound man who told us how he loved this mic over the SM58. While my Shure is working perfectly fine, it is 20 years old so when I saw this mic on sale, I figured I'd give it a try, worst case I have a new back up should something happen to the SM58. Well, I tried it out and I've been blown away by its sensitivity and tonal accuracy. The SM58 immediately became the backup. I find myself singing with a lot more ease and not needing to be as forceful to cut through. What I hear coming back through the monitors (and obviously the mains) is so crisp and clean it's amazing.
