Cute game that stands out
We own a few different addition/subtraction math games, as we homeschool/gameschool. This one was on sale so I decided to get it just to have a little more variety. Unlike other games there are no dice (numbers or operations) and instead you pull from a deck of cards. I like this option because for the early math group I can only use the cards that are aligned with what they are working on (+1, +2, etc.) The game pieces are sturdy cardboard that slide into plastic bases except for the yeti and trophy at the top, those are fully plastic. The 3D part of the game board is easy to snap together and comes apart just as easily to be put away in the box. What I absolutely love about this game is that it includes 10 counters, 5 of two different colors. Anyone with kids learning math using 10 frames or a cotter abacus will appreciate this part. Play is quick and fun. The math equations are simple and there are enough "other" cards so as not to feel like the kids are ONLY doing math. The setbacks and obstacles along the path aren't so many that it becomes discouraging, but also not so few that one can become incredibly behind the others. Overall, a very cute game for early math learners.

“Math hater” loves this game
This is a pretty fun, easy, and fast-paced game. Our 7 yo (who hates math) actually enjoys playing and frequently asks to play again. The math is pretty basic 1-10 equations, both addition and subtraction. We think this game was a great purchase.

Learning can be fun!
Played this game with my 6 year old and it was perfect. He didn't even realize we were learning while we played. It's easy, fast play and the I clouded counting cubes were a huge help. It's easy assembly and everything fits great in the box. For under $20 this is a great learning tool.

Betty the Yeti makes learning fun!
In my classroom and tutoring office this is the new favorite game! The 3D mountain, an adorable Yeti named Betty, and a real trophy make this game irresistible! I like that instead of dice a deck of cards with math facts is used. This allows me to exclude or include certain math facts for a particular child. My students and clients keep wanting to play this game. Swamp Sum and Math Island are also awesome games…together those are the top 3 preferred games among the kids I work with. Basically, Learning Resources knows how to make quality games that kids enjoy!

Fun Learning Game
Okay game, but the directions are a little confusing and it goes really quickly. Still a fun little learning game and I love that it has little counters so both my 6 and 4 year old are able to play.

Learning to takes turns and counting
Super cute but with my grands we just click and go all the way around trying to get all our games pieces lined up and if we land on someone else’s game piece we send them home.
