Have yet to use it. Comes in a plastic jar. I do not believe the jar is shatter proof, but should hold up to a few drops, provided they are not from great heights. The color is true black. The look of the creame is moist and glossy. It appears to be waterproof due to oil content. Contents are not marked. If I had to guess, I'd say there is a wax base of lanolin but I can't be 100% certain. Either way, the amount was more than adequate for the price point.
