Review: sturdy - first... a minor negative point really; in fairness, the workbench was delivered on the day it was supposed to be and I was told before hand of the day it was going to be delivered, unfortunately because no-one knocked on the front door to announce the delivery the workbench was left outside (in a fairly safe spot) for a number of hours. It was only after I called the delivery people that I discovered that the workbench had in fact been delivered. That aside... the rest of it is golden, I purchased the 6ft bench - its spot on 6ft long, as you can tell from the product pictures the wood is fairly chunky - which does make for a solid, sturdy and heavy (and I do mean heavy, unless you are quite strong you are going to need two people to move the component shelf, top and back panel safely) workbench. This is a good thing as it provides a solid base for pretty much any task the average house holder is going to need it for. Assembly is pretty straightforward to anyone with an ounce of common sense and a screwdriver - certainly no more difficult than any flat pack furniture and you should be able to put it all together in about an hour (I might have been able to do it quicker if I'd had some one around to help hold things). Once assembled it's good to use, unless you want to add varnish, paint or similar. The extra shelf is useful for storage of tools and other things (in my case leather hides) and theres plenty of room to work. The delivery was good The assembly was straight forward apart from having to chase up the assembley instructions from the manufacturer.. The bench is very strong built with substantial timber .
