I think my 6 grader needed 6 dozen pencils or something. When I saw this I knew that I had better jump on the bargain. I sharpened 3 with a hand sharpener and 3 with the electronic sharpener. Both sharpeners produced perfect tips and no broken or uneven sharpened pencils. I like have the STAEDTLER blue pencils so my kids pencils won't get mixed up with their other classmates. The set includes the white eraser which are the standard now for classrooms. All the pencils functioned well and maintained sharpness for about a page of writing.
