I have tried many different detergents that are all natural with pure safe ingredients, unfortunately they never quite cleaned my laundry. Clothes, sheets, etc. were always dingy and never had that really "clean" feel. I use an organic deodorant that is made with shea butter among other ingredients and noticed that my old detergent was leaving residue in the arm pit area of my shirts. I kept trying different products until I found Roux Maison Essential Laundry Detergent!! I have only had a chance to use it on two loads of laundry, but I am very happy and quite impressed with the cleaning power using such a small amount of detergent! My clothes were very clean!! Faded spots on some of my t-shirts that I figured were there to stay, dingy light colors that I had resigned myself to as a trade-off for not using harsh chemicals... all gone!!Believe me, since this was the first time I used Roux Maison Essential Laundry Detergent, as I was folding my laundry, I was looking for the stains and residue that I was used to seeing with my old detergent and they were gone! I adore the smell of my clothes being lemon scented. They say you use one capful, but that's the bare bones minimum. I use three capfuls for a LARGE load of laundry because I like to smell it. Otherwise, you can get away with using two capfuls per large load... one just doesn't feel like it's enough... may as well just have the laundry rinse in water. It's pricey, but I like that it's all natural. As for whether or not it works on taking the funk out of your gym clothes, I say no. My gym clothes still smell funky when I start to sweat in them so clearly this has not worked on that.One gripe I have is that I have to be sure to rinse the cap well, otherwise, the residual detergent on the cap starts to trail down the side of the bottle and gets messy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great detergent for allergies and sensitive skin *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 6, 2017* I recently took my little toy poodle to the vet because of excessive scratching and a rash. The vet let us know that he had a bacterial infection brought on by all the scratching and he was most likely scratching due to allergies. The vet didn't want to change is food right away so suggested we try to eliminate other allergen possibilities. The first thing I thought of was the throw blankets on the couch. I went searching for a hypo-allergenic detergent and came across this product. As recommended on the bottle, 2 cap-fulls are enough for a load of laundry. Though the detergent is lemon scented it doesn't leave the laundry smelling extremely citrusy, it's very subtle and pleasant.
