IMHO these are by far the most comfortable traditional looking cowboy boot. They heel inside the boot under the insert along with the extra cushion in the heel make a big difference for when you asking or standing a lot. The leather is thick and nice on both the foot and shaft part of the boot. The only drawback is that they are a little heavier than other boots I have and heavier than other wrists I have. I’ve worn these on all day walks through city as well all day at concerts, etc. They are the only boot i could wear all day and walk all day without any extra fatigue or soreness. I ordered the wider size even though Ariat seem to come a little wider than other brands and glad I did.FYI- this leather is the type that will scuff and show lighter shades where they bend, etc. This is not a sign of bad or poor leather- just not the type of leather you would wear with an evening boot where you could polish and get a shine.
