Review: Function and whimsy--love it! - So far, I love it. I bought it because I've been switching back to tea from coffee, and anyone who has had to pour boiling water out of a regular pan knows that it makes a mess. This was all it promised--heats up quickly, the whistle is loud, and the cat changes colors which makes me smile every time. Having read the other revews, I know not to use the trivet, I was unlikely to, anyway. The little cup is hilarious and will also probably never be used--it's a little too soft for me to trust with a hot beverage! I will also follow the others' advice and dry it out after using so as to hold the rust at bay.

Little late with my review but... I love this little kettle. Yes it's light weight, and a bit smaller than my other kettles but it is so cute. The way the cat changes colors when water is hot . Im a cat person reason bought it but its also a big talking point in my kitchen when I have guests stay over. Whistle is loud the handle collapses. Storage is easier and cleaning because the handle is not in the way. Just an FYI to those who purchase the secret to prevent rusting.....after use pour out the water and Dry it Completely especially the lid. Do not keep it on the stove with water day after day.
