Q: Is this safe to be used as a teether, under age 2?

As with all children's products, they say you should have adult supervision when using. For me, I let my now 7 year old autistic son take it to bed with him and everywhere else. (I started him with these at age 2 because he has a very strong jaw and we adopted him at age 18 months or I may have got it earlier!) I only buy the XXT because he could chew through the other ones in a short period of time. He prefers this over the other shapes because he can grasp it through the hole. I usually buy 2 or 3 every 9 months to a year. That way I can keep one in the car, one in his bed and one in the diaper bag or a spare in case he loses one. It takes him a long time to chew them to the point of replacement. As long as you check them once in awhile you should be fine. Especially because your child is just getting teeth and probably doesn't have a super strong jaw yet!

Q: Will this help my 5 year old? He has Autism and sensory issues that tends to chew.

This chew tool is firm so it holds up pretty well. My child liked the resistance and the various textures. However, as it is larger than a chewy necklace, we needed to develop procedures for care when it was put down or handed off.

They have excellent customer service if you contact them directly through their website. They are a small USA owned company and probably don’t have anyone monitoring Amazon. I have used them for almost a decade and have never had issues with products but have participated in promotions with them through FB.
