Keep your wives and girlfriends away from them,,ps they can do nails,,
Small but strong and light,,do not apply to much pressure,,excellent for fine smoothing off,,very well made,,they work brilliantly on stainless fine wire as I make my own fishing hooks,,if you are looking for a slightly larger set buy the bacho 4 inch six piece set,,it's ideal for small jobs and the metal files are about half inch wide approx,,it's a good un,all needle files are for smoothing,,but all in all no complaints with this set,,

I have used these so far on brass and mild steal and in each case they cut perfectly and leave a perfect smooth finish
Although these are rather more expensive than the cheap Chinese files, the difference in quality is immense. I have used these so far on brass and mild steal and in each case they cut perfectly and leave a perfect smooth finish. In my opinion they are well worth the extra money.

The best money can buy.
Vallorbe files are the best files money can buy -whether engineer's, key or needle. Even the lower-cost 'grey range' of kits are files that will last you many many years of utility -the 'blue range' kits costs hundreds of pounds -but will be old and valuable friends in 40 year's time, never once having let you down when you needed them. The same here; whilst not specifically for small woodworking craft projects, these files are light-years ahead of the competition in the application of your craftsmanship -and that's no hyperbole.
