Lost Detroit

This was a gift to my much older cousin and her husband who moved out of state many years ago. They loved the book and had so many comments about remembering places in the book they had been to, and even worked at.

I’ve ordered two books. I’m giving one as a Christmas gift to my son!

What you missed

This is an awesome book - I so enjoyed reading about the history of these lost buildings. As an architectural photographer I am especially enthralled with what once was in our city. I wish I had a time machine I could go back in time and see these buildings for myself.

Beautifuk book on the history of Detroit

It was a gift and we all loved it

Gave this to my husband who is from Detroit for his birthday. Along with another book (100 Record Covers by Michael Ochs) he said it was the best birthday gift ever.

Sad but nostalgic if you remember Detroit from your childhood….these are buildings lost before our time mostly, but the book is a wonderful compilation of a part of lost Detroit…reminders of vibrant years in the history of one of America's great cities….
