Dalvey Classic Compass Compact

I really like the Dalvey Sport Compact compas. The quality really shows in the fit and finish. The alinement is perfect between the top and bottom halves and the push button is precise. The halves are pressed and stamped stainless steel with the Dalvey logo on the top cover.The plastic compass insert is quality construction, the degrees marked clearly along the perimeter of the insert. A handy lanyard bail really completes this small pocket compass.It arrived very quickly, acknowledgment of my order was immediate with a shipment to hat same day. Very pleased with the he packaging, factory box within a sleeve.

This is a beautifully crafted compass making a special gift if you decide to have it engraved. However, I was unaware that this particular compass will NOT work in the Southern Hemisphere (and I bought it for a PHD student leaving for Africa.) Glad I read the small fine print before wrapping it up. For those who are unaware.. make sure the compass you select will work properly in the part of the world you will be using it! This compass is a class act when you are in the Northern Hemisphere!

Works as described, have not had any problems with it after 2 months. I use it on my weekend day-hikes, because I like the compact size, rounded shape, and convenience of this style of compass. It did not come with a chain, so I had to buy one separately.

Felt like it was not very well made. Exchanged it for another brand.
