I have a 2021 Range Rover and have been using this for a few days. connection is quick (Land Rover system takes about 10 seconds to "boot" up at baseline. It takes me about 15-20 seconds total time before the CarPlay screen is up and ready. Connection has been great without drops/disconnects. I dont have a noticeable lag - again at baseline the LR system has a bit of a lag in button use - no noticeable difference from wired. Phone calls are clear. Very pleased so far

I waited 2 years to find the right wireless carplay dongle. This one is small and inobtrusive. Connects within seconds and was truly easy to set up. When I first looked into them when I got my Ford Maverick they were running about $100 and needed double stick tape and cords to hide them from sight. Plug this in your USB port and away you go...cord free.
