But then, as I was adding more music onto it, an error message came up saying that there was a problem with the storage. It prompted to me to format the files (deleting them in the process), which I did. However, after that, the mp3 player on my laptop was only showing up as having 391 MB of storage, and therefore wouldn't allow me to put any of my music back on the device. I tried resetting, messing with my pc settings, but nothing worked. After a thorough Google, it seems that the only fix is replacing/taking out the memory card, which looks incredibly intimidating for a non-tech person. I expected better for a £70 product.
