Its rich, full, has the right amount of presence to give you the perfect broadcast sound for either your Podcast or for some other high end applications like radio shows, etc. The build quality is pretty dang good, it looks gorgeous, and of course sounds like heaven. If you really need to upgrade your podcast sound, just go for it! Its just so good!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be placed on the center of a small table and used by two or three speakers (for a podcast)?**
A: As some of the others have mentioned, this mic is not what you are looking for but the Blue Yeti is perfect for your needs.  The internet is filled with mixed reviews about the Blue Yeti but as someone who has nearly 30 years of experience as an audio engineer, I can tell you that it's a fabulous mic, especially for your particular application.  I currently record multi-person podcasts daily using the Yeti in omni mode while hanging overhead for multiple speakers/conversational situations, a Rode Podcaster as the daily driver for one of the on-air personalities and a Shure SM7B for another on-air personality and I'm extremely happy with the performance of all three mics.  I also use an Audio Technica AT2020 sometimes when we have an additional guest in the studio.One thing to keep in mind - you will need to understand your workstation and have a plan on how to set up your gear, as the Yeti is a USB mic (unless you get the pro model which takes both XLR and USB) while the AT2020 is an XLR and so on... you get the idea.  With these two different formats I often see people purchasing both kinds without first figuring out how they are going to get all these mics to play nicely with one another.  Do your homework on how you're going to hook everything up and you should be just fine. Good luck!

A: Here's short run down I just noticed today. I'm in the market for a Rode Mic so I did some digging. Rode NT-USB USB ($169)Rode PodCaster USB Dynamic Microphone (USB $230)Rode ProCaster Broadcast Dynamic Vocal Microphone XLR ($230)Rode BroadCaster Studio Condenser Microphone XLR ($400)Fist two are USB. Last two are XLR.

**Q: Does this work with behringer xenyx x1204usb? or additional equipments are required?**
A: It works. You just need a XLR mic cable and you are good to go (it is not included).

**Q: anyone use this for recording singing vocals? thanks!**
A: Yes. This mic works well for vocals. I would say it is better for aggressive styles of singing. I’ve recorded everything from death metal screaming to angelic female vocals with great success. The sound reminds me a lot of the Shure SM-7b, which is traditionally a broadcasting mic, but made famous for vocals by Metallica.

I had been eying this microphone since a very long time now & today, after finally receiving it, i am just so elated to be in possession of this thing. Its rich, full, has the right amount of presence to give you the perfect broadcast sound for either your Podcast or for some other high end applications like radio shows, etc. The build quality is pretty dang good, it looks gorgeous, and of course sounds like heaven.
