Leverage your results - as a leader of your team
Truth is simple and we have heard it more than once, not what is counts, what it looks like counts. And culture is part of look and feel inside and out. Even more, it duplicates itself, it spreads and grows. As any growing force, culture needs guidance. Change the culture, change the game gives valuable insights how to direct the culture in an organisation, how to mobilize your people for the good. It's a must hear (and read) when you lead a team or organisation and it challenges you to proceed.Great work, highly recommended for leaders in any field. Give your team the force of a direction and they'll love it.My personal score: 28 out of 28!

Change is Wonderful!
Change The Culture Change The Game is a powerfully inspired addition to The Oz Principle and How Did That Happen. This book introduces the methodology for efficiently and effectively changing the way people think and act throughout an organization to make certain that they achieve their key results...now! Mr. Connors and Mr. Smith have taken the concept of Creating a Culture of Accountability to a new level by demonstrating how to accelerate cultural change. This is required reading for any leader who must keep his organization,(or family) competitive and focused. I have found that the impact of greater accountability and the acceleration of change in the way people think and act has not only improved my work "life" but has also greatly improved me as a leader, husband, father and son. The stories of actual people and organizations in the book demonstrated clearly to me how to use the models to achieve rapid, results oriented change. This is a Must Read!

I recommend this book because it does provide such great insight ...
Executive SummaryThis is a review of ‘Change the Culture Change the Game’ by Roger Connors and Tom Smith. The target audience of the book is the organizational leader. The strengths of the book are the real life examples and strategies. The weaknesses of the book are its repetitive nature and occasional stating of the obvious. I recommend this book because it does provide such great insight into strategies that can help develop your company culture.Who is the book written for?The book is written for leaders of all types within an organization. It especially applies to an organization that wants to instill or accelerate cultural change. Parts of the book apply to leaders of any level, and portions of the book (the parts that talk about defining the cultural change to be made) are likely to only apply to higher level leaders.Specific Strengths of the BookThe authors provide great real life examples of how to change the culture of your business, just when you think you have tried everything else. They provide you with the strategies to get all of your employees to become “go to” people. They give great detail of all these examples by charts and diagrams, but if they wanted you to get one idea from their book it would be to make others accountable and have great energy.Specific Weaknesses of the BookThe book was great there were only a few Weaknesses I can think of. It gave me great insight to changing the work culture, but it was very repetitive and may have repeated the things I already knew or learned in prior business classes. What Other Reviewers Have Said for and Against the Book and Your ReplySome other reviewers make note that it is a great presentation of a complex topic in such a short format. Although I do agree that it is a short format, I feel that it comes at the trade-off of the material being left at a high level. Other reviewers have pointed out the length as a con, and in this case I might agree.RecommendationsI would recommend this book to others. It is a great short read and provides great insight and life examples. It may not go as deep as a reader might hope. The tagline on the front reads that it is a “breakthrough strategy for energizing your organization…” I’m not sure I would go that far, but it is a good solid read that deserves the attention of any organizational leader looking to influence cultural change.

Pragmatic approach to a rather complicated field of science
Used book to familiarize myself with a client's intent to use the concepts of the book to undergo a culture transformation initiative. Found the book easy to read, highly engaging, and fun. The authors did an admirable job of distilling and simplifying some behavioral sciences challenges in dealing with culture change. As a successful consultant in this field (culture change) for nearly 40 years, I loved how the authors presented the subject and moved the reader towards an understanding of what it takes to change a culture. The book is now a permanent addition to my reference library.

The book is a first step to understanding managment
I liked the book's principles, the organization, and the language of the text. I would have liked to hear more differentiation with the examples across organization types. For example, I would have liked to hear how these principles worked in Education. It would have been nice to hear about union influence and how outside interests must be considered. The book chronicles human behavior predictability, so its highly relevant. Overall, its a great book worthy of awards. Thank you!

Its ok
Good book however it is boring. I have read the oz principle and attended the one day training session. So much emphasis is based on pharmaceutical companies I found the message to get lost. There are other companies out there. I am of the opinion that if I get one good thing out of a book it was worth the cost and time. I can't seem to remember a whole lot from this book.

A Great Read for Team Leaders
I had to purchase this to read for a class assignment. I was pleasantly surprised by the content of the book. The authors give offer a real framework for change in an organization. I got far more out of this book than the textbook I paid $200 for. A great read for managers or perspective leaders.
