This bag does run small but I found the listed volume to be accurate. I ordered the XL podsac to fit my snugpak sleeper lite / military bivvy combo and it was just the right size. I imagine this stuff sack would not be a good fit for family camping sized, comfort centric sleeping bags, it is more for backpacker type minimalist bags and for that it is a good stuff sack. The nylon bag is on the thick side and should hold up well for medium and hard use. The compression straps and buckles are on the small size but should work fine as long as care is taken during use i.e. not trying to compress the bag with undue force. I would categorize this as a stuff sack, not a compression sack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good bag but needs a dust / rain flap and maybe wider straps *by N***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2013* This is a nice bag for the price. I ordered size XL to fit my kid's bulky Coleman sleeping bag. We could not fit the rolled sleeping bag into the stuff sac even if it was rolled up very tight - as the diameter of the rolled bag was too large and this stuff sack does not give at all at the opening. So we switched methods and stuffed the unrolled sleeping bag into the stuff sac - I guess that's why it's called a stuff sack:) We were then able to get the old conventional sleeping bag into the sack and close it up for compression!The compression straps are only 3/4" wide and seem a little dainty for the job of an 'XL' bag. The compression strap buckles are in a bad spot: If the sack is full or nearly so before you start compressing, the compression strap buckles are positioned at the top of the bag directly over the opening. This makes it hard to both compress the sack and draw the straps tighter. The buckles also interfere with each other in this position when you try and compress the sack! The buckles also tend to snag on and drag open the sack top as the straps are drawn tight over a full load. It would be much better if the straps buckled on the side of the bag even when full, but it is workable as is just a bit more fiddly.There is also no dust / rain cap. Most compression sacks have one. You'll have to find a spare bit of impermeable fabric somewhere else to make your own dust cap. For instance if you use these on dual-sport motorcycle camping trips, a dust cap is pretty essential.The sack is typical European sizing - where 'XL' really means medium or large. Most other brands of XL stuff sacks give you 2 to 3" more diameter and at least 3" more vertical. It seems no one at Podsacs has ever been to Texas :) Also note the sack capacities: Small = 7 liters; Medium = 10 Liters; Large = 15 Liters; XL = 20 LitersAll in all it seems well made, and for the sub-$19 price I give it four stars. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2014* Sizing is very inaccurate!
