The leggings are perfect. I'm 5ft2 and 140lbs they fit me no problem. They are thick like jeans so you don't have to worry about your underwear showing but they are lightweight like thin leggings and hug my body like a warm winter hug. There are no seams so you don't have to worry about an accidental tear or the stitching coming undone. They have a surprising amount of stretch. Because I'm short I have a few extra inches where the leggings overlap my heel but I'm short. A 5'5" to 5'8" would be a perfect fit for the length of the legs. The cut out designs are well secured so there no chance if ripping. Information fact my 16 month old daughter decided to wrap her tiny little finger around one of the things strings that make up the design and then attempt to dangle off it like she was trying to do a chin up because I would pick her up and the fabric didn't rip or even stretch permanently. now own 4 different styles of the leggings and I love each ones equally (except these are my favorite).
