When I was finishing with painting, I mounted the sculpture very simply with a small amount of clear silicone sealant. Once the silicone is set, the piece is very firmly attached.

**Q: If I set the molding while holding something in my hand (like a metal rod) then left the metal rod in the mold to cast around it, would that work?**
A: Yes, it would work. Just be aware that you’d have to clean the object very well after the cast is out for it to look good.
