Arkham Horror LCG: Guardians of the Abyss Scenario Pack

Guardians of the Abyss is a good idea, but some of it gets lost beneath the sand. There are cool locations and encounter cards(locusts!) and it’s a lot of fun(though challenging) during the first half. Things start to go down hill as the danger ramps up during the second scenario. My advice to you is play the first half and just expect to lose the second one. No, seriously—you have no chance of beating the second scenario. If you do try to make a go of it, make sure you are playing with at least 3-4 expert level character decks, otherwise it’s going to steamroll you. This is because every “common” monster it spawns in the second half of the adventure is essentially an “elite” in any normal AH campaign. So try having multiple boss battles going on at once. As I said, you’re buying this for the first scenario not the ridiculously difficult second. I got my money’s worth but it was a bit of a letdown. They just need some errata to fix the second half.
