The new cable was the right length, I think maybe standard length, and having watched the replacement video, was simple to replace. Tip, tie a piece of string to old cable before pulling it out. This can be used as a "fish wire" to pull the new one in. Only negative side is that the slot in the handle may need to be enlarged to accept the new gland. Other than that, great job and I have a spare in case the other side goes.

This replacement cable was for one side of my dual reclining sofa. Old cable snapped due to wear and tear. The new cable was the right length, I think maybe standard length, and having watched the replacement video, was simple to replace. Tip, tie a piece of string to old cable before pulling it out. This can be used as a "fish wire" to pull the new one in. Only negative side is that the slot in the handle may need to be enlarged to accept the new gland. Other than that, great job and I have a spare in case the other side goes.
