but it is not sweet, just more flavor
These treats are bigger and dryer than I thought they would be and have a powdery coating on them that is similar to the coating on cinnamon-sugar donuts, but it is not sweet, just more flavor. I cut them in 1/3-1/2 and my dog loves them, and that is all that matters. My dog is 8 years old and has health issues, but these agree with her just fine. I got the 3-pack which is a great bargain. I would recommend them and will buy them again.

Our dog loves these chewy treats!
Our dog loves these treats especially since they are soft and chewy. I'm not sure how well they do it calming her, but we try and give these to her when we know she may have some anxiety that day. They have seemed to have gotten smaller though. The very first bag I bought; the treats were larger.

Not Soft, Recently
I remember ordering these over the last few years and having my various dogs love them, but I ordered about six packs recently, and they all feel incredibly hard! Perhaps dry. I very specifically was looking for soft treats for a new pup and remembered these as being very soft, so I am personally feeling a bit let down by what I received. Again, in the past, these were soft, so barring a recipe change, I wish you better luck!

A Softie for Lavender & Lemon Balm
We haven't yet tried the soft & chewy version of these (though the treat bowl is getting low), but flaxseed is always a good idea. And I love that these treats are wheat free--as my girl has allergies that just won't go away. While the original (crunchy) version has barley and oats, the soft and chewy version has potatoes and barley to make a healthy base. None of the apples and carrots that my dog loves in the original (crunchy) version are here, though there are added nutrients (like calcium and zinc). The lavender and lemon balm--found in both the original (crunchy) and soft versions--do seem to help her stay calm, especially when we have to go on a long trip. All in all, I expect my girl to run to her pillow for these treats, like usual!

Yummy Treat, but Small
My dog loves these treats. The only downside to these treats are that they are small. I also was hoping for a much softer treat. We tried the hard cookie version of these treat and he liked them, so I wanted to give these a try.

My Ridgeback and Akita love these. It is not extremely effective but it does help take the edge off. I use with Rescue Remedy at times when things are bad like consecutive rainy days or being left alone. I rather or the pups rather this soft chew than the crunchy cookie.

I calculate 72 chews per 7 oz bag
Someone said they counted 37 chews. We've had a bag for over two weeks and still have 33 chews left. I've been feeding 2+ chews per day. I did the math on kcals per kg divided by kcals per chew times 7 oz divided by 35.2 oz per kg and got the answer 72 chews. That sounds about right and allows us to feed 2+ chews per day and get a bag a month on subscribe and save. Just in case you were wondering. Bill W

Doesn't seem to work on my dog.
Maybe it's just my dog but, they don't seem to affect her. My other two dogs are calm so it doesn't make a difference on them either. They love the taste so that's a plus.

Works well for my Yorkie
I've been giving these to my 10lbs Yorkie for awhile now. At first I didn't notice much of a difference whenever I would give him one. They aren't something I give every day, by any means but I've noticed over the last few months that they really calm him down. I don't think anyone should go into it expecting a huge difference and certainly, the size of your dog likely makes a difference. When he's being particularly hyper, I give him one of these treats and within a short time he calms right down. He also loves them and they're soft so I can break it into pieces and he thinks he's getting several treats.

My dog says yuck
I don’t think I should read reviews about stuff on Amazon. At least not dog treats. My dog didn’t touch these at all. Even when I doused it in peanut butter and that says a lot. Don’t waste your money!
