I trimmed the edge of this so it fits nicely in a cutlery drawer to keep 4 sharp knives out of sight, very useful

The knife stand is perfect for keeping knifes up n safe, and is space saving.

Takes up a bit more room in the drawer than I felt strictly necessary but it works effectively and the knives can be picked out easily and safely, so I guess that's what one wants in a knife holder.

Having just acquired a new set of 5 Prestige Stone Quartz knives which I needed to fit into a narrow drawer alongside my 16-year-old set of 5 Gary Rhodes knives still in their original and beautiful-but-space-consuming wooden in-drawer block (because I dislike vertical knife blocks on the counter top where anyone coming into the kitchen could grab one) I was originally drawn to the larger size of this mat which holds 11 knives.Going by the dimensions of the bigger mat on paper, it should have fitted into the 9-inch wide drawer OK, but the 2mm tolerance in theory might not fit in practice and I don’t need the hassle of having to return it. Also, there would have been no space for my sharpening steel to fit in the same drawer as the knives.Then I spotted the same design in a smaller 5-knife mat, two of which would fit easily into the drawer and accommodate all 10 knives, with a perfect gap between the two blocks for the sharpening steel.On taking delivery of the two mats today, I wasted no time in reorganising my knife drawer! In they popped, a perfect fit for the drawer and all the knives, and the sharpening steel nestles safely between the two.To say I am pleased with my purchase is the understatement of the century, as I couldn’t possibly be happier with this outcome!SIDE NOTE REGARDING LENGTH OF MAT BASEThe base of the mat is made from flexible rubber and there is a short length of mat base protruding beyond the rigid blocks at the far end where the pointy ends of the knives go. Therefore, if the designated drawer happens to be a tad shorter, you can still fit the mat into the drawer by turning the edge of the rubber base up against the back of the drawer. As that end is hidden behind the blocks it won’t be visible when the drawer is opened. The same thing could also work at the front of the drawer, but would be visible on opening the drawer.However, there is no flexibility at all on the width of the mat because the rigid blocks are an exact fit right up to the side edges of the mat base. Hence, if you are considering the larger size but aren’t sure if it will fit, I would advise purchasing multiple 4.2 inch wide mats instead of the larger 9.2 inch mat if the available width space is tight. Yes the large mat holds one more knife than two small mats put together but, if you can live with that, it is a more than reasonable compromise.

Unfortunately I was unable to stand my cook’s knives in it due to the way the handles sat.

Super happy with the size and functionality of it.

Nice quality knife holder that helps with drawer organization in the kitchen. The materials are easy to clean and it holds small to large knifes with no issue. I would definitely buy this brand again.

Dimensioni ottimali per il mio spazio 10 cm. Evita che i coltelli più grandi si rovescino ed evitano il rischio di tagliarsi.
