brilliant gift, durable and educational but easy enough to assemble themselves (6&9 year old)

If you have a curious child that is able to follow instruction like in Lego then this is great to help kids learn about circuitry, physics and electronics. My child turned 6 recently and made two of the projects with relative ease. Requires supervision which is easy to give because it is fun for adults too!

Well built and instructive (like all the Snap Circuits products) with an extra element to it - a remote controlled vehicle to play with once completed. My 7 year old grandson loved it. Highly recommended.

My 7 year old loved this present. He was fine building it himself. The parts are all high quality and the rover has 4 wheel drive so it can go on just about any surfaces. The only drawback is that this is less educational than the other snap-circuits kits - once it's built it tends to stay built and is played with like any other remote control toy.

Excellent my 7 year old loves this and put circuit together with little support, very clear instructions. It is noisy!

My son 8 year old, loved it, he was so excited when car was actually on the move. he already had basic snap circuit but wanted this one as birthday present.. made him happy and educational too

My son (8yrs) loves this, he was able to build it by following the instuctions without any help and enjoyed playing with the finished vehicle. You will need to make sure you have a good supply of rechargable batteries and a 9v for the controller. The only downside is that it is very noisy but then again it is designed to appeal to boys!

This kit is amazingly good, especially for the price. Educational, easy to assemble, a very good rover once assembled. My grandson (age 9) really liked it. We had a great afternoon visit putting it together. As an electrical engineer and computer scientist, I highly recommend these snap circuits.

Grandson loved it. Since he is only five he required help with the tools required to assemble. Loves it now that it is up and running. Be sure to get batteries ahead of time

Didnt know it needed batteries,but got thru it!

Our six year old son has been bugging us for a while to get him a remote controlled vehicle. Having previously bought the Snap Circuit Jr. set and been thrilled with it, my wife and I decided to purchase this as his gift for Christmas. My thought was "if you want a remote controlled vehicle, you're going to build it yourself, kiddo." His aunt purchased the UC-90 upgrade kit as her Christmas gift for him, so it worked out great as far as money spent, as the Deluxe Rover close to $100. The kit is amazing. You have to read the inserts in the project manual for information regarding wiring as some of the wires are about a 1/2" too short it seems. Now, after a week of terrorizing the dog with this thing (the son, not me), the unit quit working. Batteries were good, so that left one of the over 100 parts to troubleshoot. The project manual gives you specific projects to build as a diagnostic tool to track down a faulty part. This is an important and well-thought out component of the instructions. I did the tests, and found out the Deluxe Receiver was not longer working. So, I called the company, and talked to an actual person for a brief second and was then transferred to the voice mail of Parts Department where I had to leave a message with my name, address, and the part I needed. So I left the message, thinking "eh, I'll have to explain that I tracked everything down, that my kid didn't wire it wrong, etc.". Nope. I got a call a couple days later saying that the part was on its way. A week and two days after I called, I had the part, and we're back to terrorizing the dog and learning about resistors and capacitors.The rover itself is actually pretty cool. Doesn't drive too fast. A bit loud. Easy to drive. In my opinion, a nice balance of science project and recreational vehicle.Can't say enough about my positive experience with this product and the company. Well done!
