I had bought another thermostat from another company before buying this one. The other one you couldn't have a wall between you and your grill/smoker. This one is AMAZING!!

This is the second digital thermometer I have bought to use with my Big Green Egg. Accuracy is great for both interior meat temperatures as well as exterior cooking temps. I don’t use the remote feature that much because part of the enjoyment of outdoor grilling is being outside at the grill ( for me anyway)

My only gripe on this is that I had to read the instructions multiple times, and the use of the buttons is not evident just from reading their labels. I would definitely buy this again, although it could profit from a re-design of the human-machine interface to make it more intuitive.

WORKS GREAT RANGE IS BETTER THAN BLUETOOTH.

I have had 3 of these, my first one worked great for 2 or 3 uses then became off by about 15 degrees. The company sent me a new one. The second one worked great for about 6 to 8 uses then it just started registering about 40 degrees hotter than it should. I confirmed with 2 other gauges that were within a few degrees of each other. I am now on my 3rd one and it is starting to lose connection and constantly beeps at you even when it's only 25 feet away in direct line of sight (smoker to table on patio). When it works it's awesome, but it's too short lived to spend this kind of money on a few uses.

meat thermometer did not work - changed batteries twice - which are hard to get to - have to unscrew very tiny screws and that is hard for an older person. The transmitter worked - I tried to get it together when I bought it but decided to try it today - too late for a return but it is total junk.

Nachdem ich meinen ersten Versuch Pulled Pork vom Gas-Grill versemmelt habe, weil ich keinen zweiten Temperaturfühler für die Garraumtemperatur hatte, war mein erster Weg direkt auf Amazon und auf dieses Thermometer. Ich hatte davon schon in diversen Grill-Foren gelesen (oder besser gesagt vom Vorgänger). Schneller Versand, wie immer.Zugegebenermaßen, die Einrichtung bzw. das Einstellen der verschiedenen Temperatur-Warnungen etc. ist nicht ganz selbsterklärend und die Bedienungsanleitung sollte bei den ersten Verwendungen in Reichweite sein. Wenn man sich aber mal durchgekämpft hat und alles korrekt eingestellt ist, macht das Thermometer einen super Job.Die Reichweite ist ebenfalls nicht zu verachten, vom Grill im Garten bis hoch ins Dachgeschoss gab es keinen einzigen Verbindungsabbruch. Der Alarm ist deutlich hörbar, die Beleuchtung ausreichend, die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten fast schon zu viel (Voreinstellungen für bestimmte Fleischsorten sind eigentlich überflüssig, die gewünschte Kerntemperatur passt man ja doch meistens nochmal nach eigenem Gusto an).Alles in allem bin ich top zufrieden und das zweite Pulled Pork war dann auch perfekt :-)

My husband and I are having trouble trying to figure out the directions on this item so I have yet to try it ou. I’m sure once I figure out how to use it it will work great. Here’s hoping

Es gibt nicht viel zu sagen.Funktioniert gut.Man kann vorab verschiedene Fleischsorten auswählen.Schön ist auch das, dass Thermometer sich nicht nur meldet wenn die Grilltemperatur zu hoch oder niedrig ist, sonst auch wenn die passende Kerntemperatur des Fleisches errreicht ist.Einziger negativ Punkt, daher auch 1 Stern abzug, angeblich soll die Funk-reichweite, weiter sein als bei unseren Vorgänger den wir haben ( auch ein Maverick) aber es verliert trotzdem immer wieder kurz die Verbindung..
