Great book for the grandchildren.

We’re using this along side our science curriculum and this book has great info and great pictures.

I HAVE BOUGHT MANY DK BOOKS FOR MYSELF, FAMILY. AND FRIENDS GREAT BOOKS PICTURES AND INFO.

Muito bom!! Só não dou nota máxima pela razão de, mesmo tendo vindo todo embalado, a lombada do livro estava um pouco marcada (descascando). Fora isso, recomendo.

I bought this book for my 8 year old grandson, who is obsessed with science. He absolutely loves it! He is autistic so his parents have to help him with the reading, but the pictures and graphics make the descriptions of earth and weather events (volcanoes, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc.) interesting and easy to understand. One of his favorite pages is about "microbursts" - something that was new to him. The large and colorful graphics are accompanied by short paragraphs of quick facts, which makes reading and explaining to younger children easy. Young readers may need occasional help with the larger scientific terms. The adults have also really enjoyed reading this book. They have had it for a month and are still talking about it.

This is a beautiful book.I bought it to add to my family library and as a resource for my middle school aged homeschoolers.I noticed it was for about 4th grade up to 7th.I would ignore that.Along with the text,diagrams and stunning photos I think any age would find it useful. The book is smartly divided into 8 sections.They cover a range of topics from geography,formations,natural wonders,weather,natural disasters and biomes. Great buy,great read and definitely good make a great gift I also noticed this book also touch on more current events such as hurricane Matthew (2016) and hurricane Katrina (2015)
